Hell’s Pharma is a curious game from Indonesian developed Rainman Studios and it involves being a demon pharmacist in Hell itself. The game is inspired by the likes of Gabriel Knight and Blade Runner, and it looks like it might just live up to its inspirations. ![]() You play as the apostle Bartholomeus as he cleanses the city and seeks out evil demons to vanquish. The Blind Prophet is a darkly-themed, but lushly-illustrated point-and-click adventure set in the corrupted city of Rotbork. Who knew the gods could be so easily influenced… The Blind Prophet (10th January on PC) What would you do if you were a friend of the gods? Mythic Ocean plays as a narrative adventure game, and your choices in it will determine what kind of a universe gets created by your god friends. Mythic Ocean has a really creative idea going behind it. The game uses a unique split-screen display, showing you both the protagonist and the environment, and it plays as a point-and-click adventure like other games from Rusty Lake. In The White Door, you follow protagonist Robert Hill as he follows a strict daily routine and tries to reclaim his memories. The White Door comes from Rusty Lake, who developed… well, Rusty Lake and its sequels. The White Door (9th January on PC, Mac, iOS, Android) It’s a dark and spooky place, and the crew soon goes up against some dark and spooky happenings as well. Paranormal HK is a game from the Hong Kong-based Ghostpie Studio, and it follows a film crew exploring the Kowloon Walled City to shoot an episode for their supernatural-based web show. Our spread of picks for the week explores some truly fantastical concepts. This leaves it to PC to pick up the slack when it comes to first-time releases. This week, we’ve got a complete lack of PlayStation releases, and all the releases for the Xbox One and Switch platforms are ports of previously-released games.
